On our gaming floor in Fourways, we have over 1,500 slot machines available day and night. Both smoking and non-smoking sections are clearly mapped out, and entry starts from Montecasino Boulevard, Fourways, Sandton, Johannesburg. You need to be at least 18 years old. The main floor houses the largest cluster of slots, but for higher stakes, Casino Privé is on a separate level. That area is typically reserved for Gold tier members and above.

Progressive jackpots are linked across the floor. Jackpot totals appear on large overhead displays, so it is easy to see what is happening. We split machines into classic reels, themed video slots, and multi-line types, each grouped in its own cluster. Limits vary: from low stakes up, every slot takes South African Rand (ZAR).

Tsogo Rewards for Slot Play

You can walk right to our Rewards desk and register for Tsogo Rewards, which takes just a few minutes. Once you have a card, slot activity starts getting tracked when you put it in. The card never stores money, only records your game activity. Points add up based on how much and which denominations you play. The more you play, the higher status comes your way, bringing extras with each tier.

Standard tier gives you entry-level point earning and some play perks. Silver increases your earning rate and gives you priority service. If you want, you can adjust the number of coins per spin directly on many machines. It is all shown on screen. Before you start: minimum and maximum bets are displayed on each one, so it’s really hard to miss. Progressive jackpot networks pool contributions as you spin - so jackpot totals keep bouncing up on the big displays across the floor.

Casino Privé sits above the bustle, watching the main area. You’ll need a Gold Tsogo Rewards card or better to enter. At the Privé entrance, our staff control access and help high-limit guests settle in.

How Slot Machines Operate

Slot machines on our floor accept only South African Rand (ZAR). You can feed notes into the validator, or use ticket-in/ticket-out slips to move credits around. There’s no need to exchange for coins to swap between games.

Insert your Tsogo Rewards card first, add cash or insert your ticket, choose your stake, and press spin. When credits build, the total is updated on screen. Hit cash-out and the machine prints a ticket you can redeem at any cage or use in another game. Tickets are valid for up to 180 days.

If you hit a jackpot above a certain figure, the machine locks and our staff step in to verify the win. Payout is arranged at the game or you’ll be shown to the main cashier cage for larger awards. It’s a quick and clear process.

Cashier cages are available for transactions, tickets, or account questions day and night. Change attendants are often nearby to answer slot queries or swap notes for smaller ones. From the main piazza, signs point in several directions. Main entrance by valet parking, then the gaming floor opens out as you walk in, slots running along the edges and tables at the core. Non-smoking slots? There is a dedicated area, past the rows of reel machines and through its own set of doors.

Restrooms, ATMs, and cages are dotted throughout. You’re welcome to bring drinks from bars to your slot. Our property opened in 2000 and covers a vast space. Hotels, restaurants, theatres, and Tuscan-inspired gardens stretch across the entire complex.

Three hotels connect directly to our gaming areas. High-tier Tsogo members can sign food or entertainment charges to their room. The onsite Teatro hosts regular productions, and there’s a cinema and outdoor events close by.

You’ll find over 30 food options. Tsogo Rewards points are accepted for dining, or there’s a discount for members. Millions visit the property each year, and the gaming, food, and events are a major draw.

Responsible Play

We take responsible gambling seriously. If you need a break, self-exclusion can be set up with security on-site, which blocks the slots but not restaurants or theatres. Set spending limits using your Tsogo Rewards account anytime: daily, weekly or monthly caps, after which the card stops working on slots until the period resets.

Parking and Access

Parking for basic and non-member levels costs R20; Silver gets a lower rate, Gold and Platinum have free parking in designated zones. Valet is at the main entrance. The property is in Fourways, on the edge of Johannesburg, and is about 20 km from the city centre by car via the N1 and William Nicol exit.

With security watching every entrance, only those over 18 get onto the gaming floor. The main area never shuts, and Privé keeps its doors open for those with the right membership. Other parts, like shops and certain restaurants, run from late morning till evening.
