If you’re staying at a hotel, you’re auto-enrolled into Tsogo Rewards for your visit, opening the door to promos and benefits - including possible free parking, based on tier.

Dining Options

Dining here is plentiful, all mapped out within our Tuscan-village style complex. There are more than thirty options, blending quick eats, relaxed cafés, bars, fine dining and specialty cuisine: Italian, steak, seafood, Asian, fast food. Some sit indoors under our painted sky, others spill out to the piazza.

Operating hours differ. Some venues run as late as our casino, while others close earlier. Billy G restaurant at Montecasino operates with varying hours throughout the week. The piazza’s “sky” shifts from day to night, which, together with the cobbles, makes wandering between restaurants memorable. For fine dining, a reservation helps - especially on weekends or public holidays. At casual spots, walking in usually works. Those in higher Tsogo tiers sometimes get priority tables or dedicated restaurant space.

Looking for drinks with sports? You’ll find sports bars with giant screens, cocktail lounges, and classic pubs. Several have views either over the floor or out onto the piazza. Alcohol is served to those over 18, so ID checks are standard here.

Teatro Theatre

Teatro is one of South Africa’s largest theatres. Open since 2007, with approximately 1,900 seats, it hosts everything from international touring shows to local musicals, pop concerts, and large business events.

Seating divides into orchestra, dress, and upper circles, with sightlines designed to give you a clear stage view. Advanced lighting, audio, and stage systems power every event. Tickets are sold both at the box office and online - prices move with show, seating choice, and date. Group bookings and season packages go up for certain productions. Some shows run for weeks, others just a few nights.

It pairs well with a lunch or dinner stop nearby - a couple of restaurants run theatre menus to sync with curtain times.

Family Entertainment

Montecasino isn’t just for grown-ups. The family zone is completely separate from the gaming floor. In here, you’ll find arcades, tenpin bowling, Laser Zone offering laser-tag experience. Kids under 18 are welcome, but they’re not allowed into the casino itself. Parents can swap between playing and joining their family, but children can’t be left unattended.

Attraction hours usually align to typical retail schedules, rather than the 24-hour casino clock. Bird Gardens operate Monday & Tuesday Closed; Wednesday to Sunday 09h00 to 17h00, with bird demonstrations at 11h00 and 15h00. Montecasino Bird Gardens is home to over 1,000 birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, featuring the Flight of Fantasy 40-minute presentation. Each activity is priced separately, but packages exist if you plan to do more than one. Group bookings, parties, and tickets for the multi-screen cinema are organized through the family entertainment desk.

Parking and Access

Our parking covers thousands of vehicles, both open air and under cover. A R20 parking fee will be applicable for non-members and 10-Tier Tsogo Rewards Members. J-Tier, K-Tier and Q-Tier Rewards Members will continue to enjoy their benefit of free parking.

Payment is mostly automated, with machines near exits. Cards and cash accepted. Validate tickets before you leave. If you lose your original, a lost ticket charge applies.

There are marked areas for meter taxis and app rides by the main entrance. We also run shuttles to nearby Sandton and Fourways hotels, mostly for conferencing guests.

Responsible Gambling

Montecasino operates under the Gauteng Gambling Board License, overseen by the Gauteng gambling authority. Entry to casino gaming floor is restricted to those 18 and up. IDs are checked at all entry points - bring your South African ID, driver’s license, or passport.
